Who We Are

We Built This Because It Didn't Exist
Personal finance content was made for two people: the 22-year-old with her first paycheck, or the 45-year-old planning retirement.
If you're somewhere in the middle, earning real money, ambitious enough to want more from it, and too busy for content that talks down to you, there was a gap.
The Monday Stack fills that gap.

We’re a personal finance, career strategy, and AI productivity publication for ambitious professional women who are done with beginner advice. We don’t do inspiration. We do frameworks. Not reminders that you deserve fair pay. The actual salary negotiation script. Not vague budgeting tips. The system that actually works with your life.

We cover money, career advancement, AI-powered productivity, and the identity questions that come with genuinely building something. Everything we publish is built on real experience, named frameworks, cited data, and a voice that sounds like a smart friend who understands compound interest.

Who This Is For

You’re good at your job. You’ve worked hard to get here. And somehow, despite earning more than ever, you still feel one slow month away from financial anxiety.

Your calendar is full. Your inbox is worse. The content that’s supposed to help you was written for someone with significantly more time and significantly fewer opinions.

You want a budgeting system that works with your actual life, not the life you’re supposed to have. You want to negotiate your salary without needing leverage. You want to automate the parts of your workweek that are eating you alive so you can focus on what actually matters.

You’ve Googled “am I the only ambitious person in my friend group” at 11pm and felt seen by the results.

That’s who we write for. Every single article.

The typical Monday Stack reader is a corporate woman, a manager, a founder-in-waiting. She’s in her late twenties to early forties. She’s earning, building, and figuring out what she actually wants her life to look like. Not just what looks good on paper. She wants her finances sorted, her systems tight, and her career moving in the right direction without sacrificing the rest of her life to get there.

She doesn’t need more content. She needs frameworks that work.

Why We Exist

In 2021, Khadija moved to Melbourne, got married, became a mum, and kept showing up to her corporate job as a software engineer and business analyst. Building systems. Solving problems. Creating things that made other people’s brands run better.

At some point, she realized she wanted to build something of her own.

Not a side hustle that required pretending she had it all together. Not a finance blog recycling the same four budgeting tips. Something real. Something with a point of view. Something for the woman doing everything right and still feeling one framework away from having it click.

The Monday Stack launched because that woman deserved a site that took her seriously. Her ambition, her income, her constraints, her actual questions. A site written by someone who builds the systems she writes about. Who understands how the AI tools work under the hood. Who has sat in the salary negotiation and knows exactly how it feels when your voice goes quiet right when you need it loudest.

The name comes from the Monday reset. That moment at the start of the week where everything feels possible if you have the right plan. The Monday Stack is the plan.

What Makes Us Different

There’s no shortage of personal finance content for women. What there is a shortage of is content that respects your intelligence, reflects your actual life, and was written by someone with real technical and corporate experience. Not just a good aesthetic and a sponsorship deal.

Here’s what we actually do:

We research the keyword before we write the article. Every piece starts with what real women are actually searching for. The frustrated, specific, 2am Google query. Not what sounds good in an editorial meeting. We write for the search, not the algorithm.

Every article has a named framework. The Predictable Spend Method. The Salary Storyboard. The Action-First Notes System. We don’t explain concepts and hope you figure it out. We give you a repeatable process you can use next week. Named frameworks stick. Vague advice doesn’t.

The AI and automation content is written by someone who builds systems. Khadija is a software engineer. When she writes about automating your weekly review or building a Notion system with Zapier, she’s not paraphrasing a YouTube tutorial. She built the thing. That difference shows.

We cite our sources. Every stat has a source. Every claim is checked. We’re not interested in sounding authoritative. We’re interested in being authoritative.

We don’t talk down to you. You’re not a beginner. You don’t need to be told budgeting is important or that you should negotiate your salary. You need the specific script. The exact system. The real number. That’s what we give you.

Meet the Founder

Khadija Khan, Founder and Editor

Khadija is a Melbourne-based software engineer and business analyst who built a career in corporate tech, then started The Monday Stack because she wanted something entirely her own.

As a working mum navigating the gap between ambitious and exhausted, she writes about money, career strategy, AI systems, and the quieter parts of professional life that nobody talks about enough. She writes with frameworks that actually work and a voice that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

She moved to Melbourne in 2021, is mum to a very opinionated three-year-old, and is currently completing her Master’s while running this site. Her love language is a good framework and a Higher Ground coffee. She watches too much reality TV and has zero regrets about it.

What You’ll Find Here

The Monday Stack is built around four content pillars:

Career – How to ask for a raise. How to navigate the performance review. How to know when it’s time to move on. The actual scripts, templates, and frameworks for moving forward in your career without burning out in the process.

Money – Salary negotiation, budgeting systems, debt payoff strategies, investing basics, and the financial frameworks that make your money work without requiring you to think about it constantly. The specific system, not the vague advice.

Work Life – Productivity systems that actually work, automation builds, meeting efficiency, burnout recovery, and energy management. The kind of workplace wellness advice that acknowledges you have a full life and a limited tolerance for content that tells you to meditate more.

AI for Work – Practical automation builds, AI tool walkthroughs, Notion systems, and the productivity frameworks written by someone who actually understands how the tools function. Real systems, not surface-level app reviews.

What Happens Next

Pick a topic. Read the framework. Use it next week.

That’s the whole idea.

Start with salary negotiation if you’re thinking about your next conversation. Dive into budgeting if your money system is broken. Explore our AI systems if you’re drowning in admin work. Whatever’s on your mind, we’ve got a framework for it.
